Flow distributors
VLV deals with the supply of flow distributors, designing each product according to the specific needs of the customer.
DISTRIBUTORS SCHOEPENTOETER
Schoepentoeter distributors are used in both vertical and horizontal tanks with high flow rates.
They are composed of one or more cross-sections that allow a smooth and optimal distribution of the gas flow through the tank.
They also allow a first separation between the liquid and the gaseous phase and allow the reduction of the forces generated by the incoming flow, allowing a primary separation between the liquid and the gaseous phase.
Finally, Schoepentoeter’s distributors allow the treatment of a larger gas flow and, at the same time, the reduction of tank size and costs.
CALMING BAFFLES
Calming baffles are composed of a particular type of perforated sheet commonly used to prevent and eliminate the turbulence of flow inside the plants.
The process aims to calm the flow and is very useful because it allows the obtainment of high performance from the reed valve pack placed immediately after the flow rectifier.
In fact, when the flow of liquids enters with regular velocities and flow, the separation process begins immediately. Without the rectifier the distribution of liquids would be chaotic and would not have the same performance.
The flow distributor allows to improve the separation efficiency of the reed valve pack located after the sheet.
To increase the calming effect on the flow, a double perforated sheet can be used, but this requires more space and is a less economical choice.
STRAIGHTNERS
The straightner is a special reed valve used to reduce in fragments the foam that could be created inside the tank and, at the same time, calm the flow of gas.
This internal is often placed between a straightener and a reed valve or a metal sock separator, and allows an approximate separation of the liquid droplets from the gas flow.
Usually the straightner occupies the entire diameter of the tank, but the remaining characteristics (type of lamellae, thickness, pitch of the lamellae, etc.) can be defined according to the process requirements on customer request.
GAS FLOW RECTIFIERS
The gas flow rectifier is an internal process consisting of vane that creates channels through which the chaotic flow of gas is calmed and rectified, allowing a correct distribution of the flow at the entrance of the next separator.
Flow rectifiers are often placed above a reed valve pack to intercept and redirect the gas flow.
Generally, a deflector is placed before the flow rectifier in order to intercept the gas and convey it into the rectifier.
FLOW DISTRIBUTORS
Flow distributors are used before the internal wedge screen in case the processes require a correct distribution of the flow inside the tank.
